The County has been approved for Phase I Household Hazardous Waste cleanup by the State Department of Toxics Substance Control which is anticipated to begin the week of October 3rd. No Right of Entry (REO) is needed for Phase I cleanup. Residents cannot opt out of this service.
Phase I Debris Removal consists of the survey, collection, and disposal of household hazardous waste at properties affected by the Mosquito Fire, including items such as gasoline, paint, batteries, and pesticides. Properties will be staked with a laminated sign indicating the process is completed.
