Land Use Policy Programmatic Update (LUPPU)
The Land Use Policy Programmatic Update (LUPPU) project streamlines the review and revision of several distinct yet interrelated long range planning issues. The project is divided into the following four work elements:
- Housing Element Update of the County General Plan
- Development of a new Travel Demand Model
- Targeted amendments to the County General Plan
- Comprehensive update to the Zoning Ordinance
The Housing Element Update for 2013-2021 was adopted by the County Board of Supervisors on October 29, 2013.
The Travel Demand Model is a two-phase project with Phase 1 included as one of the LUPPU elements. Phase 1 was completed in 2013 and comprised a model needs assessment and development of an updated model with a new software platform.
