Need to know the latest health statistics or how El Dorado County compares to other counties across the state and nation? The El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA), Public Health Division has partnered with the Healthy Communities Institute to produce a high quality, user friendly website to provide just that. The new website - - is interactive, dynamic and current; it brings reports to life.

“El Dorado County health data are now easily accessible,” said El Dorado County Public Health Officer, Dr. Nancy Williams. “ brings data, local resources, and a wealth of other information to one place. The database includes over 90 indicators relating to the health and demographics of El Dorado County, such as obesity, cancer and diabetes rates; information on public transportation and walkability; and the availability of healthy foods, to name just a few.”

In addition to accessing health data, residents can also share promising practices and post announcements for things like community wellness events and trainings on the new website. Members of the public are invited to attend a free demonstration of on January 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at El Dorado County HHSA, 3057 Briw Road, in the Sierra Room in Placerville, and at the Public Health Division, 1360 Johnson Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.
