Sample ballot and voter information pamphlets on the way to voters' mailboxesBarbara Dunmore(530) 621-74802012-09-26Elections

Voters registered to cast a ballot at the polls on November 6th will be mailed a Sample Ballot
and Voter Information Pamphlet beginning Friday, September 28.  The Registrar of Voters reports that
over 37,000 pamphlets are scheduled to be mailed.

Pamphlets will contain voting opportunities, local contests, and measures.  Candidate
statements are volunteered, and the printing paid for, by the candidate.  Voters are encouraged to
mark the sample ballot and take it with them to the polls for easy reference when voting.   Assigned
polling locations are on the back cover of each pamphlet.

Voters who opted to Go Green and not receive a pamphlet can now view their sample ballot
online at the Elections Department’s website at www.edcgov.us/elections

Voter information pamphlets will be mailed with ballots to vote by mail (absentee) voters
beginning October 9.
