(PLACERVILLE, CA) -- El Dorado County’s Department of Transportation will be performing
road work on Grizzly Flat Road west of Arctic Lane. The work is anticipated to begin on
Monday, October 16, 2017 and continue through Friday, November 3, 2017. The construction
work will require lane closures with one-way reversing traffic control for which motorists should
expect delays.
The closures are necessary to ensure motorist and worker safety while the County’s contractor
performs work on the roadway and repairs a section of the roadway and drainage system that was
damaged during the storms of January and February earlier this year.
Motorists are advised to slow down through the work zone and expect delays during reversing
traffic control. Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
zone in order to arrive at their destinations on time. Traffic control is expected to be in effect
from approximately 7:00 am through 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Portable changeable
message signs will be placed at the approaches to each end of the work zone to keep motorists
updated on the schedule for closures.
The County sincerely appreciates the cooperation and patience of motorists that use this roadway
and we apologize for any inconvenience as a result of this closure.
For questions regarding this repair and construction, please contact the County’s Transportation
main line at (530) 621-5900.
