(PLACERVILLE, CA) – The ad hoc Cannabis Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, June 19th to discuss commercial cannabis proposed ballot measures that are planned to go to the full Board of Supervisors on July 17th. If the Board of Supervisors approves the ballot measures, they will be placed on the ballot in November 2018.
The ad hoc Cannabis Advisory Committee meeting will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Planning Commission Room, Building C, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville. All meetings are open to the public.
The Committee is comprised of two members of the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. The committee members have been collecting information at each of the meetings from different stakeholder groups, members of the public, and County departments regarding each meeting topic (e.g. outdoor cultivation, dispensaries, taxation, compliance, etc.).
The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors created the ad hoc Cannabis Advisory Committee on December 12, 2017. The Board of Supervisors created the Committee to collect more information on different commercial cannabis topics (e.g. cultivation, dispensaries, compliance, etc.). The purpose of the committee is to study and create ballot measures for different cannabis commercial uses tied to a tax.
