(PLACERVILLE, CA) – The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors Tuesday appointed Kim Dawson as Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. Dawson has been Senior Deputy Clerk of the Board since December 2013. The appointment was effective August 7th, 2019.
“We’re pleased to have Kim’s experience and enthusiasm as she takes on this responsibility to coordinate the Board’s agendas, manage the process of resolutions, contracts and ordinances, and be the liaison between the public and board members,” said board chair, Sue Novasel.
Ms. Dawson worked at the El Dorado County Office of Education for six years, where she was responsible for creating meeting agendas, updating manuals and other materials and handling public inquiries and concerns.
“The business of the Board of Supervisors doesn’t take place just on Tuesdays during Board meetings,” Dawson noted. “I’m excited to take on the daily challenges that help create and manage the services and programs the County offers its residents.”
Ms. Dawson is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and holds a degree in Political Science. She will be paid an annual salary of $82,907.20.
