Title 130 Zoning Ordinance Updates

On July 13, 2021, the Board of Supervisors (Board) directed staff to initiate additional amendments to the Zoning Ordinance (Title 130 of the County's Code of Ordinances) including Chapter 130.36 (Signs) and Chapter 130.39 (Oak Resources Conservation) in Article 3 and Section 130.40.130 (Communications Facilities) in Article 4.  As part of this effort, the Board also directed staff to facilitate the development and adoption of community-based objective sign standards for the community of Cameron Park.

On December 7, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved a contract with the Dudek consulting firm (County Agreement for Services No. 5857) to assist staff with processing of the above ordinance amendments and Cameron Park sign standards, including the required environmental review for each of these components as required under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

There will be many opportunities for public involvement as this project moves forward, including public workshops and hearings with both the Planning Commission and Board.  Please sign up here to receive email notifications regarding the current Zoning Ordinance Update, including upcoming public hearings and workshops.  Additional information will also be posted to this webpage as it becomes available.
