General Plan 2011-2015 Five-Year Review
General Plan Policy 220.127.116.11 requires monitoring of the General Plan every five years. The five-year review for 2011-2015 was completed in two phases:
1. Preliminary land inventory data, including monitoring results presented to the Board of Supervisors (Board) in May 2016 (“Step 1”)
2. General Plan 2011-2015 Five-Year Review Report presented to the Board in Fall 2016 (“Step 2”).
On May 17, 2016, staff presented preliminary land inventory data (“Step 1”) to the Board. The Draft Commercial Land Inventory Summary prepared for the County by BAE Urban Economics, Inc. is attached to the staff report (Exhibit L). On October 25, 2016, staff presented the Board with the General Plan 2011-2015 Five-Year Review, along with the General Plan 2015 Annual Progress Report. The Board directed staff to submit the five-year and annual reports to the Governor's Office of Planning and Research (OPR). On October 27, 2016, these reports were submitted electronically to OPR and a hard copy mailed to the Department of Housing and Community Development, Division of Housing Policy Development.
