​VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT FOR HOME DELIVERED MEAL PROGRAM IN EL DORADO COUNTY

Volunteer orientation sessions scheduled 


(Placerville, CA) - Do you enjoy helping others? The El Dorado County Senior Nutrition Program is currently looking for dedicated, caring volunteers for the Home Delivered Meal program. Each volunteer generally helps one day per week on an assigned route, delivering meals from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to older adults in the community who have become more homebound due to health or other reasons.

Those interested in volunteering for this worthy program are encouraged to attend one of the three following Volunteer Orientation sessions:

  • Tuesday, August 20, 2019, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Placerville Senior Center, 937 Spring Street in Placerville, 
  • Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Placerville Senior Center, 937 Spring Street in Placerville OR
  • Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Placerville Senior Center, 937 Spring Street in Placerville 

The orientations will include a brief tour of "The Club", Placerville's Adult Day Services program, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary of service this year and is located next to the Senior Center. Individuals may choose to volunteer their services with this program if preferred.
