ARREST MADE IN EL DORADO COUNTY
FELONY ANIMAL CRUELTY CASE

(Placerville, CA) – El Dorado County Animal Services announced today that an arrest has been made in connection with a local animal cruelty case. Approximately one month ago, El Dorado County Animal Services was made aware of a residence in the area of Tea Rose Drive in El Dorado Hills. "There were multiple complaints regarding a stench of feces from the residence. The investigation continued and a search warrant was ultimately authored," said Henry Brzezinski, Chief of El Dorado County Animal Services.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, El Dorado County Animal Services in cooperation with El Dorado County Sheriff's Office detectives served a search warrant successfully. Approximately 25 dogs, including puppies, both living and deceased, were removed from the residence during the search warrant. The living canines were transported to the County animal shelter where they are currently undergoing care and rehabilitation.

A female suspect was arrested on a felony animal cruelty charge and was taken into custody without incident. The woman was connected with the Sierra Nevada German Shepherd Recue group. "Because this is an active investigation, no further information regarding this case is available at this time," added Brzezinski.
