The Department of Transportation of El Dorado County is in the process of improving many of the County's pedestrian crosswalks below are a few of the upcoming pedestrian crosswalk projects (note that this only reflects some of the many pedestrian improvement projects occurring in El Dorado County, for additional information please contact the Department of Transportation):

Pedestrian Safety Improvements Project

This Project proposes to construct and improve upon or newly construct pedestrian crosswalks with rapid flashing beacons at the following locations:

Sly Park Rd @ Education Center, Pollock Pines

Pioneer Trail @ Fair Meadow Ct, South Lake Tahoe

Pony Express Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project

This Project proposes to construct and/or improve upon bicycle and pedestrian facilities along Pony Express Trail (between approximately Sly Park Road and Sanders Drive), and includes improved pedestrian crosswalks with rapid flashing beacons at the following locations:
