The Mosquito Road Bridge Replacement Project is a Highway Bridge Program (HBP) project that is eligible for federal funding under the HBP Off Federal Aid System 100% Reimbursement Program. The project is currently in the design and right-of-way phases.
All materials and documents used during the public outreach as well new information and announcements as they become available are provided through the links below.
The public is encouraged to remain engaged throughout the process.
Department of Transportation will soon be accepting construction bids through Quest Construction Data Network, http://www.questcdn.com, for the Mosquito Road at South Fork American River Bridge Replacement Project. An approximately 1,180-foot long, three-span, cast-in-place pre-stressed concrete segmental box girder bridge will be built at 400 feet above the South Fork of the American River with an estimated construction cost of $60M. Transportation plans to start the bidding for the Project in mid-December of 2021. Construction is anticipated to start in the spring/summer of 2022. Construction firms can subscribe to Transportation's Notices to Bidders at https://www.edcgov.us/government/dot/pages/bidshome.aspx and you will receive a notice when this page is updated to include new projects out to bid.
