The El Dorado County Department of Veteran Services was established by the Board of Supervisors of El Dorado County to assist veterans, their dependents, and survivors in obtaining entitlements from federal, state, and local agencies administering veterans programs. It is not affiliated with the Federal Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).

Monday, Wednesday, Friday by appointment

Tuesday, Thursday Drop-In schedule (no appointment necessary)

Meeting Notice: 

Please join us 
July 6th at 1:30pm for a community meeting to discuss the criteria for military honoraria. The meeting will be held at the Veterans Memorial Building, 130 Placerville Drive.

Goals of the meeting: 

• The first goal of the meeting is to include all stakeholders and to either re-affirm the criteria as it currently stands, or consider asking the Board of Supervisors to adopt a revised set of criteria.  Current criteria is attached.
• The second goal of the meeting will be to construct a new pathway to hear appeals should that need occur. 
• Information collected at the meeting will be brought back to the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors for their consideration.
