UPDATE - September 26, 2012Due to a directive from the Federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC), El Dorado County Public Health can no longer offer Federally-provided vaccine to people who have private health insurance that covers vaccines. Therefore, our walk-in vaccination clinics described below are only for Medi-Cal eligible, uninsured and underinsured individuals.
The Public Health Division of the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency will begin offering free community vaccination clinics for children in several designated locations of the County beginning July 12. “This is a wonderful service that we hope parents will utilize for their children, particularly if they don’t have a regular health care provider,” said Cathy Dunbar, County Immunization Coordinator. Children of all ages (infants through18 years of age) will be accepted at the clinics. The community vaccination clinics will be held on a monthly basis at each location. Clinics will not be open on holidays.
