El Dorado County residents who are disabled and looking for work are invited to take advantage of free services and special funding offered through Connections - One Stop. "The El Dorado County Connections - One Stop program can help disabled individuals search for a good job, develop a quality resume, enhance job interview skills and more," said Jenny Wilson, Program Supervisor for Connections - One Stop. Services through Connections - One Stop include:

  • Access to job recruitment boards, computers, copiers and fax machines
  • Career assessments
  • Tips on how to network and use social media
  • Computer classes for beginners
  • Help with interview skills
  • Help creating and printing resumes
  • Classes to boost self-confidence and more

Connections - One Stop currently has special funding just for disabled job seekers in El Dorado County to help pay for school tuition, paid work experience, job training and other services. This special funding ends August 30, 2014. Funding is provided on a first come, first served basis; certain restrictions and conditions may apply. 

Connections - One Stop has two offices in El Dorado County, located at 3047 Briw Road in Placerville and 3368 Lake Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Connections - One Stop is a program of the El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency and a member of America's Job Center of California, a network of employment service agencies across the nation.
