This case was investigated by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office and the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office. Our office continues to make prosecution of sexual assault crimes against children a top priority and thank the Sheriff's Office for their work on this case and their continued, tireless efforts to seek justice for minor victims. Sexual assault cases can be among the most sensitive and difficult cases to prosecute and Deputy District Attorney Lisette Suder, the head of the El Dorado County Sexual Assault Unit, prosecuted this case with the utmost competence and professionalism.
District Attorney Vern Pierson stated, "Although nothing can get back the innocence lost by these young children, the El Dorado County District Attorney's Office hopes that the verdict will allow the victims closure and begin their healing process."
