El Dorado County District Attorney Vern Pierson announces the arrest of El
Dorado County Supervisor Ray Nutting.
 
Today, El Dorado County Supervisor Raymond J. Nutting was arrested and
booked into El Dorado County Jail relating to an arrest warrant issued today and
to a Complaint filed on May 24th, 2013.

The Complaint and charges contained within the arrest warrant allege four felony
counts: two counts of Penal Code § 115(a) - filing false documents, Penal Code
§ 118(a) - perjury relating to failure to disclose income, and Government Code
§ 1090, having a financial interest in County contract and failing to recuse
himself from the vote.

This case was investigated by the El Dorado County District Attorney's Office,
and will be a joint prosecution by the California Attorney General's Office and the
District Attorney's Office.

The arraignment of Mr. Nutting is scheduled to take place on June 10, 2013, at
1:30 pm in Department 1 of the El Dorado County Superior Court.
