In 2008 Brandi Morgan Thomas was driving under the influence of alcohol on El Dorado Hills Boulevard when she swerved into the bicycle lane and hit two female cyclists causing life changing major injuries. In March, 2009 Thomas was convicted and sentenced to 7 years state prison. Her sentence was suspended and she was granted 5 years formal probation which included an “obey all laws” clause.

In August, 2011 Thomas was arrested for several felonies, including Burglary, Forgery, and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime. Thomas then fled El Dorado County and has been a fugitive ever since. Local law enforcement has since attempted to locate her but to no avail. District Attorney Investigators, using an El Dorado Hills based company, Intellaegis, and more specifically their new technology “Masterqueue”, tracked Thomas across the country locating her in Florida, Tennessee, and eventually in the State of Michigan.

District Attorney Investigators, working with the Michigan State Police, located Brandi Thomas in Michigan and arrested her. Brandi Morgan Thomas has since been extradited from Michigan and is currently in the El Dorado County Jail awaiting her court hearing. Thomas’s bail is has been set at $425,000.00.
