Today an El Dorado County jury sentenced David Zanon to death for the murder of California Highway Patrol Officer Douglas Scott Russell.
This verdict was the result of the hard work and dedication of the California Highway Patrol, Rancho Cordova Police Department, Sacramento County Sheriff Air Operations, Sacramento County District Attorney Crime Lab, and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department.
