Local governments are taking a more active role in ensuring their communities have reliable, abundant and affordable Broadband services for their residents. Additionally, smart city applications are requiring local governments to plan for robust infrastructure to support these emerging technologies.

El Dorado County has been evaluating financial implications, different levels of investment, models and strategies, and several options for implementation of a more far-reaching Broadband offering.
