Our staff is dedicated to assisting the residents of El Dorado County through our various programs and services, including, but not limited to: pesticide registration and regulation, nursery inspections and compliance, organic production, pest detection, weed abatement, crop statistics, wildlife services, land use information, and consumer and business protection through our weights and measures program.

Taking part in the census is an opportunity for California’s farmers and ranchers to make a positive impact on their operations and communities by helping tell the story of US agriculture and the significant role California plays in that story. ♦ California's Department of Pesticide Regulations (DPR) has recently released proposed regulations regarding pesticide applications by production agricultural operations within a quarter (1/4) mile of K-12 schools and child day-care facilities in California. These proposed regulations only affect agricultural production operations. Homeowners who grow crops for personal use, maintenance gardener businesses, and structural pest control businesses will not be affected.
