On July 13th, Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park will be hosting its monthly docent meeting and is inviting the public to attend a special presentation on living with natives and the threat weeds have on the landscape. The workshop will be held from 10 am to noon at the Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park in Pine Grove. University of California Master Gardener John Otto and UC Farm Advisor Scott Oneto will highlight local plants of the area and the importance of using native plants in the landscape. They will also discuss how to choose the right plant for your landscape and what plants to avoid. Lastly they will show some of the worst weeds of the area and the best control techniques.
