JOB TITLE/WORKING TITLE: Nutrition Education Program Manager (Program Representative III)

JOB ASSIGNMENT:
100% position with UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program (UC CalFresh) in Central Sierra MCP 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The goal of the UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program is to improve the likelihood that persons eligible for CalFresh benefits will make healthy food choices within their limited budget and choose physically active lifestyles consistent with the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans and ChooseMyPlate.gov. This person will have major and continuing responsibility for the implementation and management of the UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program focusing on delivery of nutrition education to low-income youth and adults. This includes training, supervising, and supporting the UC CalFresh Nutrition Education Program staff and coordinating efforts with other nutrition and physical activity programs in Central Sierra MCP.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Experience or coursework in nutrition, health science, community education, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in use of Windows-based computer with knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Experience supervising staff.
• Experience developing work plans and budgets.
• Experience conducting evaluation and report writing.
• Experience conducting group presentations and demonstrations.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES PREFERRED:
• Experience working with low-income youth and families.
• Familiarities with communities in Central Sierra Nevada Multi-County Partnership (El Dorado, Amador. Calaveras and Tuolumne) and with agencies serving CalFresh recipients.
• Registered Dietitian
