(Placerville, CA)–The County is in the process of updating the biological resources policies and implementation measures in the County’s General Plan. On January 13, 2015, the County Board of Supervisors approved the proposed project schedule. The 18-month project schedule includes a series of public workshops with the Board to be held in January 2015 through June 2015. The next workshop is scheduled for Monday, January 26, 2015 and will be held in the County Board of Supervisors Chambers located at 330 Fair Lane, Building A in Placerville. Subsequent workshops are scheduled on the following Mondays: February 23, March 30 and May 18, 2015. Workshop times (to be determined) will be posted at a later date and workshop materials may be available up to a week in advance on the project webpage.
Agendas for the Monday workshops will be posted on the Friday prior to the workshop on the County’s Agenda Calendar: Live web streaming of the Board meetings, workshops, staff reports, and attachments are also available on the online Agenda Calendar.
The project requires the completion of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The General Plan EIR will be reviewed regarding the analysis of how application of the biological resources policies would mitigate impacts from General Plan implementation. The updated biological resources policies and Final EIR are anticipated to be completed by May 2016.
