(PLACERVILLE, CA). – El Dorado County Supervisor Michael Ranalli and Coloma-Lotus Chamber of
Commerce President Howard Penn invite area residents to provide their input on a community effort to design a
“Community Identification/Welcome” sign. The first meeting, which will establish guidelines for outreach and
design concepts, will be held at the Gold Trail Grange on:

The Coloma-Lotus Chamber of Commerce has proposed a “Community Identification/Welcome” sign as part of
the improvements included with the Highway 49 South Fork American River Bridge Replacement Project.
Feedback from the community will help determine how the County, in partnership with the Chamber, proceeds
with the proposal. Representatives from the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the
El Dorado County Department of Transportation will attend the meeting to provide guidance on the process to
include this Community Sign as part of the bridge replacement project.
