BACKGROUND:
The snow removal equipment used by the County in South Lake Tahoe is aged and in ill-repair, some equipment being more than 40 years old. This leads to continual breakdown, removal of the equipment for repair and subsequent delays in clearing roadways for safe passage by travelers.
