(PLACERVILLE, CA) -- The El Dorado County Department of Transportation announced today it has scheduled July 8th to begin annual maintenance of Mosquito Bridge. The work will continue for 17 days through July 25th. Daily closures will be held from 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The County will replace the damaged timbers and perform annual routine maintenance on the bridge which was built in 1867.
Project dates are estimates based on favorable weather conditions. Motorists will need to use State Highway 193 to Rock Creek Road as a detour. Slower speeds and caution are highly recommended.
Portable changeable message signs will be placed to keep motorists updated on any changes to the timing of the project.
