El Dorado County’s Department of Transportation, in conjunction with Neenan Company and Veerkamp Construction, will be implementing a double lane shift in the southbound lanes of Missouri Flat Road in Placerville, immediately south of Highway 50, beginning Tuesday, August 24th at 7:00 a.m. and continuing until approximately September 8th, 2021. The right-hand (number 2 lane) southbound lane will temporarily be closed during construction activity along Missouri Flat Road, between Motherlode Drive and Forni Road. Vehicles will be directed to temporarily shift lanes laterally while traveling through the construction zone.
The Missouri Flat Road lane closure will allow for the installation of underground sewer line serving the new El Dorado Community Health Center while maintaining a safe work zone for the construction crews. Please check the County website for any further traffic control.
Motorists are advised to slow down through the work zone and expect delays during construction. Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone in order to arrive at their destinations on time or use alternate routes to avoid the construction area.
The County sincerely appreciates the cooperation and patience of motorists that use this roadway and we apologize for any inconvenience as a result of the detour.
For questions regarding this construction, please contact the County’s Transportation main line at (530) 621-5900 (select Option 3 for Engineering).
