ROAD WORK ON ELKS CLUB DRIVE IN TAHOE BASIN TO BEGIN OCTOBER 15th
(PLACERVILLE, CA)—El Dorado County's Department of Transportation today announced crews will be performing road work on Elks Club Drive near US Highway 50 in the Tahoe Basin (South Shore) on Monday, October 15th, 2018, for one day only.
Elks Club Drive, between the US Highway 50 intersection to Tam O Shanter Drive, will be closed to traffic for construction. County maintenance staff will grind 3-inches of existing pavement, overlay 3-inches of hot mix asphalt, striping and pavement markings. The closure is necessary to ensure motorist and worker safety while the County's maintenance staff performs work on Elks Club Drive.
Access for local residents and visitors, as well as emergency personnel and law enforcement will be via detour to Meadowvale Drive and Tam O Shanter Drive. Appropriate signage will be installed to assist with the detour. Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when traveling through the detour in order to arrive at their destinations on time.
