(PLACERVILLE, CA) – Have you ever wondered what’s happening with the roadways along the Missouri Flat Road Corridor? Here’s your opportunity to influence the future of the County.

El Dorado County is accepting applications from people who are interested in being part a focus group for the Missouri Flat Area Master Circulation and Financing Plan (MC&FP) Phase II project.

The goal of the project is to help fund necessary roadway improvements to relieve projected traffic congestion and to support additional commercial development in this area. This effort is a key investment intended to grow the County’s job base, sales tax base and property tax base by removing barriers to economic development.

Two focus groups will be formed to represent the following interests:

  • Local Business/Economic Development Interests (Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Partnership, tourism industry)
  • Real estate industry representatives (developers, landowners, real estate brokers)

It is anticipated that each group will include 8-12 people representing diverse viewpoints within the subject area. The focus group meetings are expected to be held in October 2017 and May 2018 (specific dates to be determined).

Applications will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on September 29, 2017. Applications are available on the project website at: http://www.edcmissouriflatupdate.com/.  Applications will also be available at the front counter of the County of El Dorado, Community Development Services, Government Center Building C, 2850 Fairlane Court, Placerville, California.
