EL DORADO COUNTY IMPLEMENTING DETOUR OF

BASS LAKE ROAD BETWEEN HIGHWAY 50, HOLLOW OAK DRIVE

September 29 through September 30, 2020

(PLACERVILLE, CA) – El Dorado County's Department of Transportation, in conjunction with Lennar Winncrest, LLC, will be implementing a detour of Bass Lake Road from the Highway 50 On/Off-ramps to Hollow Oak Drive, beginning Tuesday, September 29th at 6:00 a.m. The Bass Lake Road detour will allow final paving of the new Bass Lake Road. This is final of a five-phase detour schedule for this project.

Vehicles will be directed around the area utilizing Highway 50 to Silva Valley Parkway, Highway 50 to Cambridge Drive, or Tierra De Dios Drive/Morrison Road and Hollow Oak Drive from Tuesday, September 29th through Wednesday, September 30th.   Portable changeable message signs are posted and will remain throughout the duration of the project.

The northbound Bass Lake Road traffic traveling eastbound on Highway 50 will be detoured to Cambridge Drive; and the northbound Bass Lake Road traffic traveling westbound on Highway 50 will be detoured to Silva Valley Parkway. There will be no impact to the Bass Lake Road traffic south of Highway 50. There will be access to Bass Lake Road, north of Hollow Oak Drive, from Cameron Park via Tierra De Dios Drive/Morrison Road/Hollow Oak Drive.  Please check the County website for any further traffic control.

Motorists are advised to slow down through the work zone and expect delays during construction.  Motorists are also advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone in order to arrive at their destinations on time or use alternate routes (Silva Valley Parkway/ Cambridge Road) to avoid the construction area.

The County sincerely appreciates the cooperation and patience of motorists that use this roadway and we apologize for any inconvenience as a result of the detour.

For questions regarding this construction, please contact the County's Transportation main line at (530) 621-5900 (select Option 3 for Engineering).
