It is a pleasure to serve as the Interim Department Head for the El Dorado County Veterans Affairs Office.

El Dorado County Department of Veteran Affairs stands ready to serve the over 17,000 local veterans, their dependents and survivors, plus other veterans needing our help.

We provide the guidance and advice to help veterans become aware and claim the many benefits they earned and are entitled to, while in military service to our country. Entitlements include counseling, education and medical benefits, Cal-Vet home loans programs, disability pensions, and military funeral service and burial benefits. Many veterans are not aware that they have these benefits and our staff does the work of helping them file the claim. The outreach program includes being the central advocacy source connecting all the military programs and organizations in the county.
