Elder Protection Unit
Preventing their financial and physical exploitation, abuse, and neglect are important goals of El Dorado County. In response, the Board of Supervisors have formed a multidisciplinary team of which our office is an active participant. It brings together specialists from the District Attorney’s office, County Counsel, Senior Legal Services, Public Guardian, Adult Protective Services, Information & Assistance, Long-Term Care Ombudsmen, and others who work together to help identify, reduce, and prosecute the incidence of financial and physical abuse of seniors in our county.
